If you are looking for a low budget desktop PC but still needs the processing power of a more expensive desktop then Acer Aspire T671 is the PC you should consider buying.
Packed with features like 320GB hard drive, 4GB RAM, Core 2 Duo Processor, and so on the system has enough room for upgrade. But that doesn’t mean it is meant for game lovers.
This Acer Desktop PC is best fit for your home office for checking e-mails, working on word files, creating report.
Wrapped in a Mini ATX case it is small enough to push it under your desk. Look wise the system may not be the best looking PC at the moment but it is equipped to carry on all your computing needs.
Design
Compact and simple looking Aspire T671 measures 360 x 180 x 420mm will easily fit into a cramp office desk. Cased into a black cover with smooth silver colour painted on its face makes the system looks shiny but it does have modest look from all angles. Acer logo is embossed in shiny silver colour. Look wise the system is far behind its contemporaries.
The part of the CPU unit polished in black is designed to fit in 8 Hi-Speed 2.0 USB ports with 4 in front and other 4 ports at the rear end. You will see 13.5mm input and output ports for microphone mini-phone in the front, two IEEE 1394 firewire port one in front and one at the back side.
Fan outlets are carved out on both the left and right wall of the CPU.

The system does not come with a monitor but you can fit any LCD display and it works perfect.

The mini tower Acer Aspire T671 houses powerhouse storage unit comprising of 320GB hard drive. Having plenty of space is always a great feature for storing all your important documents in one place without moving them around to the external hard drive.
As you open the CPU case you will see RAM slots comprising of 2GB RAM and also couple of empty slots having enough room for adding more RAM. As you bring home the system it is a good idea to upgrade the RAM for better output.
Cache memory is designed to process 2MB of L2 Cache.
The base unit also holds Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 processor runs at the speed of 2.13 GHz. It has maximum power to fuel hard drive, RAM, graphics memory.
The Graphics card attached to the CPU is PCI Express x16 which is powered by ATI Radeon X1650 Graphics processor. The memory allocated for graphics output is 1GB.
Inside the main board you will see ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 chipset having data bus speed of 1066 MHz
The in-built networking capability includes Network adapter supporting Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, and Gigabit Ethernet.

Performance
In spite of having all the resource for running the daily chores this Desktop Computer PC significantly lacks RAM required to run Microsoft Windows Vista. If you are not fixed on having MS Vista on your system it is a good idea to downgrade to Windows XP for better performance.
Tasks like generating reports, checking e-mails, downloading files are the jobs this system is able to handle quietly and efficiently. But playing power hungry games or downloading movies may not be the tasks this PC is ready to take care.
However, the hard drive has ample space to satisfy your storage needs. With 320GB storage unit the system has enough room to accommodate your family album, large word files, and audio files. But the PC works incredibly fast when you keep your system away from large movies files, photo albums. In other words, use your storage diligently for better output.
If you are fixed upon having Windows Vista on the system you have an option to upgrade your RAM. Stretch the RAM and the PC is all set to handle Vista.
Multi-tasking works without any problem even when you have multiple applications opened up and you are downloading files from internet the system barely drops down its performance rather it maintains the same steady performance all through.
With Aspire T671 Acer has fixed the problem of noisy CPU unit. Start the system without unnecessary noise. Even the fan sound is reduced to minimal. Throughout its work time it delivers steady performance without generating much heating.
Offers great reliability and performance; the system is ideal if you are desperately looking for a new desktop PC that has basic hardware and software specifications required for your home office.
Not a great buy if the expectation is to run enterprise-level computing products or memory-consuming multimedia games. Else it is very well-equipped to handle your day-to-day job.
